In fact, there are many things that dogs are afraid of, some dogs are afraid of fire, some dogs are afraid of loud noises, etc. I have compiled some knowledge to share with you.

1. Sound

　　Dogs have a keen sense of hearing. But to sudden larger sounds, such as lightning and thunder, aircraft roar, firecrackers, etc. There are many dogs who are afraid of firecrackers during the New Year in Chengdu. Some dogs will show a sense of fear. Such as pin the tail to escape to a safe place, into the house or craning the neck into a narrow place; then is no interest in food or even refuse to eat, even if the reproach is ineffective. And as long as the sound persists, the dog’s mood will not be stable, and the owner’s comfort will not have any effect. The dog’s body will also undergo a series of changes, such as faster breathing, whole body shaking, faster pulse and higher body temperature. The female dog shortly after giving birth may also have a tragic litter eating.

          

2. Light and fire

Many dogs have a fear of flashes and fire. Such as fireworks, searchlights, and even the moment a match ignites while smoking, can also frighten dogs, and like fear of sound, is an instinctive alert of dogs to natural phenomena. But unlike sound, when light and fire appear in the dog’s territory, it will be careful to bark around, so there are many stories of dogs reporting fire. Some dogs also hate fire and smoke so much that they will stomp out cigarette butts discarded on the ground with their feet. Enhanced training in these behaviors can lead to very useful skills for guard dogs guarding warehouses.

3. Death

　　Dogs have a strong fear of death. This is primarily in reference to the death of their own kind. The dog’s smell after death, the living dog has a strong terrorist stimulus, even the closest dog companion and its offspring are afraid to approach, showing the hair shrugging, step back, trembling expression of fear. Some dogs also show fear of leather odor, is made of leather footwear also feel annoyed, may be the leather residue of other animal odor.

Of course, sometimes the dog’s fear is caused by its incomprehensible phenomenon. For example, there is no breath of life but the specimen of life form, can make the sound of birds and animals and will move the toy, no one in the wind when the door, open umbrella, etc., are difficult for dogs to understand and feel creepy.
