1. Hair on the head
(1) The hair on the head of the Schnauzer should not be allowed to grow too long, and should generally be trimmed shorter. Including the hair on the cheeks, between the corners of the mouth, and under the eyes should not be too long.
(2) The hairs on the muzzle and the whiskers on the cheeks and jaws of the chenari should be trimmed moderately to make them well-proportioned and beautiful.
(3) The hairs on the inside and outside of the chenille’s ears should be trimmed shorter, and the hairs on the outside circumference of the ear shell should be trimmed flush.
(4) The hair of the throat should be trimmed shorter and more neat and beautiful. (Related article: How should a chenery brush its teeth?)
2. Neck hair
(1) When cutting the neck hair and coat for the Schnauzer, it should be trimmed not too long and not too short, so that the back line is balanced and neat.
(2) The hairs on the neck and back should be trimmed in the order of the hairs starting from the back and going to the left and right.
(3) Trim the hair on the front neck and front chest of the Schnauzer, also in the order of the hair toward the elbow.
3. Shoulder hair
(1) The back hair on the shoulder of the chenille should be trimmed gradually forward in sequence toward the front chest and be shorter.
(2) The hair from the back to the underbelly of the chest should be left appropriately long and should be trimmed toward the back of the body.
(3) The hair from the back up to the middle of the thighs should be trimmed very short in order to do so. (Related article: Why should a chenille get a tail amputation?)
(4) The coat at the waist of the Schnauzer should be trimmed a little shorter than the chest hair, and the hair below the waist that curls upward should also be cut short.
(5) When trimming the hairs on the forelimbs, cut the hairs in front of the elbows and on the sides; the hairs around the toes and the hairs between the toes should also be cut.
(6) The line from the shoulders, down and behind the toe tips and from the front chest to the toe tips should be trimmed evenly and neatly.
The hair on the inside of the hind limbs should be neatly trimmed.
4. Tail hair
(1) The chenille’s hair from the back to the middle of the thighs should be cut very short.
(2) The hair on the hock portion of the hock shall be cut so short that the skin can be clearly seen.
