A Canadian dog breeder made headlines today when he showed his dying dog a heartwarming act of kindness – a last meal that most people would envy.

Josh Lawrence’s beloved 8-year-old boxer Lennox has been diagnosed with severe arthritis and cancer. The bad news is hard on Lawrence.
I met him when I was 17 years old and he slept with me every night,” Lawrence said of Lennox in an interview with RightThisMinute.com. “I learned a lot from him and he learned a lot from me.”
After many surgeries and treatments, Lennox’s condition did not improve. When a large, painful tumor grew on Lennox’s shoulder, making it difficult for him to even stand, Lawrence knew it was time to make the difficult decision to end his best friend’s suffering.
But Lawrence wanted to give his dog one last gift before saying goodbye – the dinner of Lennox’s dreams. Lawrence prepares a big plate of food that Lennox craves, including rice, greens, cheese bread, sausage and a big turkey leg wrapped in bacon.
Lawrence’s roommate and Lennox’s best friend, Niko Grosdanis, decided to share the dog’s epic feast on the popular Reddit site. Grosdanis, under the username “Nikolaoss,” posted a heartwarming photo of Lennox scrutinizing his last meal, which was certainly fit for a king. A meal fit for a king, of course. The photo has earned nearly 25,000 “votes of support” on the site since it was uploaded earlier this week.
Grosdanis writes: “This article in no way implies sadness.
“He’s been acting like a total boss all his life! “He mentioned Lennox. “And this meal reflects that!”
Grosdanis then showed video of Lennox indulging in the spread. In the video, Lennox struggles to his feet and then staggers over to enjoy the special meal.
“He was literally looking at it like, ‘Oh my God, is that for me? Grosdanis talked about Lennox’s reaction to his heaping plate of human food. “He ate it as fast as he could because he thought he was going to take it away from him at any moment!”
The touching video of Lennox’s last meal has officially gone viral, garnering more than 140,000 views on YouTube in less than a week.
“He was always a social dog that everyone loved,” Grosdanis recalls of Lennox.
The love continues, with dozens of Reddit users. Some have posted their condolences, while others have shared their stories of losing pets.
One Reddit commenter pointedly said, “The greatest lesson a pet can teach its owner in life is that it’s over.” .
After the party, Lennox enjoyed visiting with his other doggy friends and ended up walking a bit before Lawrence drove him to the vet’s office. Lennox passed away peacefully on the afternoon of January 23rd.
But for Lawrence and Grosdanis, the memory of their friend Lennox will live on, and they are thankful that there are so many photos and videos to honor him, especially those from Lennox’s last day.
Lawrence said, “I’m really happy that even though he’s not here, he can still be a big part of my life.” .
