Signs before a teddy goes into labor:
Generally speaking, labor is accomplished by the bitch’s instincts and does not require human assistance. Only in the case of difficult labor does the bitch need assistance. Most female dogs do not need human help, can naturally produce puppies, and can bite through and eat the fetal membrane, bite off the umbilical cord, lick the mucus on the litter. However, some breeds of bitches are less fertile; a few bitches are unable to handle their litters on their own due to lack of stamina after the third litter, and need to be assisted by the owner or given other care.
Signs and changes before a bitch goes into labor
A series of changes in physiological form and behavior that occur in a bitch prior to giving birth are called birth omens.
The udder of the bitch develops rapidly, enlarges, and fills with glands during the 2 weeks before delivery. Two days before delivery, a small amount of clear liquid or colostrum can be squeezed from the teats. A few days before delivery, the labia gradually soft, swollen, congested, the labia skin folds flatten, the skin slightly red; vaginal mucosa flushed; pelvic ligaments become soft and loose, the sponsor sitting ligament and the sponsor condylar ligament also become soft; buttock muscles obviously collapsed. 24 to 36 hours before delivery, the bitch’s appetite greatly reduced or even stop eating, thin stools, behavioral impatience, constantly using the forelimbs to pick up the ground, especially the first female dog, the performance is more obvious.
3 to 10 hours before delivery, the beginning of the paroxysm, the female dog fidgeting, breathing faster, panting, moaning or screaming, scratching the ground, while the number of urination increased, if you see mucus out of the vagina, indicating that within a few hours of labor. Usually, labor occurs in the early morning or late afternoon, and should be observed with special care during these two periods of time.
The time of labor can be seen from the change in the body temperature of the bitch. Three to four days before delivery, the dog’s body temperature drops from the normal 38-39 degrees Celsius to 36.5-37.5 degrees Celsius, and delivery is imminent when the temperature rises.
