1. Shower regularly
Sometimes skin diseases can also cause samoyed odors. Samoye should be bathed regularly with special pet bath gel, about once a week in summer, about once every two weeks in spring and autumn, and once a month in winter. But if Samoye’s skin condition is serious, it’s a good idea to take the dog to a doctor as soon as possible.
2. Squeeze the anal gland regularly
Dogs living in the home, because the exercise is not much, the muscle strength of the leg is reduced, can not push the excess anal gland fluid out, causing the accumulation of anal glands causing obstruction and swelling. That’s when the Samoyed dog stinks. If this is the case, when the dog owner gives Samoye a bath, put on disposable gloves, index finger into Samoye anus, gently squeeze with the thumb, it will be difficult to squeeze at first, with a little force, Samoye may feel some pain and discomfort, after a few more squeeze.
3. Clean your mouth
Samoye’s bad breath is a major source of bad odor, and be careful to check for problems caused by dental stones. The main reason for the formation is diet, eating meat and other soft food for a long time, resulting in tooth stones, and meat is easy to plug into the teeth, not timely cleaning, easy to rot and stink. So the owner should still choose some low oil low salt natural dog food to feed, dog food itself has a certain hardness, can have molar effect. Brush your dog’s teeth regularly to keep his mouth healthy.
4. Clean ear canal
The presence of earwax in samoyed dogs helps the ear fight foreign diseases. Generally speaking, dog earwax can be white, light yellow, yellow, powdery, lumpy and oozy-like, but it must be cleaned regularly, otherwise normal ears will also have a bad smell. Normally, a cotton swab can be used to clean Samoye’s ears, but dogs with squiddy earwax can accidentally push the wax deeper into their ears. So in this case, if you are afraid that cotton swabs don’t work, you can soften earwax with liquid medicine first, and then use the power of the dog’s ear to remove earwax.
