We all know that the life span of hamster is very short. It can accompany us for only two or three years. What should we do with its dead body? If you throw it away like garbage, it will feel very inhumane. After all, it is also a partner who has been with us for two or three years. What should we do?
1. Immediately separate the dead hamster from the living one.
At first, we should rule out the possibility of hamsters pretending to be dead. After the hamster dies, the living hamster is very likely to destroy the body, and the rotten body of the hamster carries a lot of new bacteria. Other hamsters are easy to get sick when touched. Therefore, the first thing to do is to take out the body and thoroughly disinfect the cage.
2. Next is the disposal of the body – preferably cremation
Because the hamster itself carries a certain amount of bacteria, and the breeding of bacteria after death is more rapid. If the breeder does not find and deal with it in time, it is likely to make people in the house infected and sick. Moreover, the hamster is not large. It is wrapped in a newspaper, placed in a container that will not ignite, lit with a lighter, and it will burn out in a short time, But it was noticed that the fire started in the open place, and then buried with the container.
3. Direct burial is also acceptable
However, this method can be easily found and eaten by cats. Therefore, the owner who chooses this method must first find a hard container such as an iron box, put the hamster in it and bury it together with the box. Be sure to bury it deeper.
If you don’t want to be so troublesome, you must wrap your things and throw them away.
Because you throw it out directly, bacteria can easily spread everywhere, which is irresponsible to yourself and others. It’s best to wrap it in a separate garbage bag for several layers, and then put it into the garbage can or directly give it to the cleaner.
Note: gloves must be worn when handling the body. If you still want to raise hamsters, you must disinfect the cage and that area, put it for a period of time, and then raise them again. The pit prepared for hamsters must be more than half a meter deep. Pay attention to the selection of location and try not to be found by cats and dogs.
